Using a modern feel, I created a snowboarding magazine named “THE EDGE”. I wanted it to be simple and enticing to the teen to young adult audience, using the classic mix of serif and sans serif type.

New currency design for Design Concepts class—Similar to the Euro, one currency needed to be created for the use in these eleven countries – Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Samoa, Tahiti, Tonga, Columbia, Peru, Chile, Ecuador.
The design is largely inspired by the Australian dollar notes and based around the fact that all eleven countries border the Pacific Ocean. The flowing lines and shapes represent the wavy ocean while making the design aesthetically pleasing and extremely hard to counterfeit. This contrasts well with the hard, clean edges of the type for readability and legibility purposes. ‘MN’ stands for Multi National, as there are multiple nations using the one currency.

A sans serif font design for typography class.
Inspired by type from the 20’s; this font is meant to be used as display type, as it’s extreme line widths are eye capturing.
The symbol underneath the type is the character I created to use as a basis for the font design.

This poster advertises the rapper Tech N9ne. The style was inspired by Shepard Fairey’s work, but concentrating more on patterns than
illustrative style.

There was no copying, stamping, blending or any part taken from the original image except colors using the ‘Eyedropper’ tool.
